Everest Base Camp trek 21 days

Nepal's most popular hiking area is the Everest or Solu Khumbu region. The Khumbu region has attracted international attention since the historic ascent of Mt. Everest. Not only for its proximity to the world's highest mountain (8848 meters), but also for its Sherpa settlements, old monasteries, and tremendous glaciers, Solu Khumbu is well-known. The Everest base camp, located at an elevation of around 5340 meters, is the major aim of an Everest expedition. Most hikers, however, climb Kala Pattar, a modest 5545-meter hill on Pumori's southern face, for a better perspective of Everest (7145 meters).

DAY 01 ARRIVAL KATHMANDU
Arrival at Kathmandu, meet and greet drop off to hotel

DAY 02: KATHMANDU
City tour Kathmandu, Lalitpur.

DAY 03: KATHMANDU
Free day for rest and preparation for trekking

DAY 04: KATHMANDU – LUKLA
Fly Kathmandu - Lukla(2800m). Trek starts; Lukla - Phakding, 2/3-hrs walk, rest and overnight at lodge/teahouse.

DAY 05: TREKKING
Phakding - Namchebazzar (3440m), approx. 5/6-hrs scenic walk and overnight at lodge/teahouse.

DAY 06: TREKKING

Namchebazzar - rest day for high altitude - explore surrounding area…

DAY 07: TREKKING

Trek Namchebazzar - Tengboche (3875m), 4/5-hrs walk and overnight at lodge/teahouse.

DAY 08: TREKKING

Tengboche – Dingboche (4350m), 4/5-hrs walk and overnight at lodge/teahouse.

DAY 09: TREKKING

Dingboche - rest day for high altitude - explore the surrounding area – Chukung …

DAY 10: TREKKING

Dingboche-Lobuche (4920m), 3/4-hrs walk and rest, at lodge/teahouse.

DAY 11: TREKKING

Louboche - Gorek Shep (5100m): hike Kalapatter (5545m) for sunset view: O/N at Gorek Shep.

DAY 12: TREKKING

Gorek Shep – hike to Base Camp (5340m) and return. Overnight.

DAY 13: TREKKING

Trekking from Gorek Shep - Pheriche (4250m), 5-hrs walk, overnight.

DAY 14: TREKKING

Pheriche - Tengboche, 4/5- hrs walk and rest, overnight.

DAY 15: TREKKING

Tengboche - Namchebazzar, about 5-hrs walk, overnight at lodge/teahouse.

DAY 16; TREKKING

Namchebazzar - Lukla, about 6-hrs walk, and overnight.

DAY 17: LUKLA  – KATHMANDU

Fly Lukla - Kathmandu: pick up and transfer to hotel – free time.

DAY 18: KATHMANDU

Guided sightseeing tour to Bhaktapur (Bhadgoan) and Bouddhanath.

DAY 19: KATHMANDU

Free day for rest, self-activities or shopping…

DAY 20: KATHMANDU

Free day and Farewell Dinner
